There's no better way to get out and experience relationship for yourself, except by meeting yourself for what may be the very first time.
Unfortunately, we live in a day and age when cultural norms are not just felt in our contact with those physical around us, they are foisted upon us in each of the pings that roll in ad nauseam via news feed, IG, FB, Snapchat, dating apps, professional apps, etc, etc. Each of these venues offer glimpses and definitions of how we should portray ourselves according to the expectations of society, locally, nationally, even globally. This issue?
If our understanding of the definition of our being is external, so follows our locus of control. We will view our lives as being defined by all that is external and thus, controlled by it. We will relate with the world, as if they (it) has control over us, rather than realizing that we determine what is allowed into our lives. WE determine the reason it is allowed in, for how long it stays and when it must leave. We are the ones who decide how we express ourselves to the world and it is not at all dependent on whether we will be accepted or not. However, in order to do this, we must have an understanding of who we really are. We must learn to relate to ourselves! And to relate in the spirit and truth of who we are.
It is a hard, painful journey, but this is the whole purpose for Crucible+Kiln. To explore who we are and how to lead from a place of authenticity, true autonomy and wholeness. Realizing that it is the fires of life that awaken us and clarify who we are and how we relate to ourselves and the world around us.
In coming posts, for the life of this company, we will evaluate what it takes to be in true relationship, with ourselves, those we love, those we value, the community and in our professional lives. Stay tuned and get ready to embrace the fire!
